Insurance, SaaS

Balancing abstraction and precision in design for an insurance SaaS company.

LimeIQ is both a company and a product, one that promises to make working with Lloyd’s and other insurance markets less daunting. At its core, the platform consolidates data from various channels, eliminates the pitfalls of human error, and accelerates decision-making. In a sector where precision, safety, and transparency are non-negotiable, these are the reasons clients choose Lime.

For a small but ambitious team, Lime is acutely aware of its influence. That awareness shaped their request: a website that could communicate not just what the platform does, but also how the company meets the market’s challenges; a product experience that feels smoother and more engaging; and a new portal, rich in knowledge, that would invite people to return.

“Leaders of leaders” — that’s the standard Lime wanted to hold itself to, not only through what they offer, but in how they present themselves to the world.

The depth that defines LimeIQ found its way into the design, manifesting in metaphor, openness to experimentation, and a sense of storytelling. Insurance, after all, is a nuanced and complex market. The challenge was to demonstrate how LimeIQ helps its users navigate it with greater clarity and confidence. A storyline threads through blocks and pages, guiding readers in a way that makes information easier to take in, even enjoyable.

One of the outcomes was the creative code we built for Lime: an interactive environment that generates visuals. It’s not an add-on, but part of the brand language itself, ensuring that new graphics — like those for the knowledge portal — feel consistent while also carrying their own flavor.

The portal became a distinct piece of the ecosystem. It carries its own color palette, a secondary logo, and a degree of independence, but still feels rooted in the same DNA. Crucially, it also connects users directly with LimeIQ, turning it into more than a knowledge hub: it’s part of a closed-loop brand system.

What came through most clearly in the collaboration was Lime’s willingness to experiment. That openness gave us the freedom to create a site that feels, at times, closer to a contemporary art museum than a corporate platform. Not chaotic, but filled with meanings and metaphors — references to something bigger, like time itself.

LimeIQ was already earning recognition in the market for its solutions and approaches. But it’s this unusual, almost “artistic” design that makes the company stand out even further in its niche.
